Position Overview:

As a Class A Truck Operator, you will support our civil crew by performing various tasks and handling materials under the direct guidance of the project supervisor. It is essential to maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all materials, tools, and equipment are in order and the work area remains clean at all times. Demonstrating safe work practices and proper care for tools and equipment is a must.

This role requires 100% travel throughout the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Proactively identify and avoid potential hazards, including utility lines, equipment, and personnel.
  • Conduct pre-work assessments to locate underground services such as pipes or wires.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during operations.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge of tools and machines for effective operation and maintenance.
  • Operate vehicles and mechanized equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect equipment and materials to identify defects or issues.
  • Gather information from relevant sources to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Control machinery and processes through direct physical activity.
  • Monitor construction activities and materials to detect any problems.
  • Position construction or extraction equipment as needed.
  • Identify equipment or materials requiring repair or replacement.
  • Oversee construction operations to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Card.
  • Active Tanker Endorsement.
  • Valid and active CDL A license.
  • Ability to control operations of equipment or systems.
  • Monitoring skills to ensure proper machine functionality.
  • Coordination skills to adjust actions based on team dynamics.
  • Experience in performing routine maintenance on equipment.
