Cafeteria Aide Position

The Wattsburg Area School District is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cafeteria Aide. This role is responsible for supporting our food service team in providing excellent meals to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for meal service by cutting vegetables, portioning fruit, and making sandwiches to ensure high-quality and visually appealing dishes.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including equipment and storage areas.
  • Serve students breakfast and lunch meals with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate inventory management.
  • Participate in training programs to maintain required certifications and stay up-to-date on food safety and handling procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food preparation, serving, and storage is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, district staff, parents, and community members.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, with excellent communication skills.

Required Clearances:

  • Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances.
  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training.
  • Act 168 Sexual Abuse/Misconduct Disclosure.
  • Health physical and tuberculin skin test required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend and walk as necessary to move around the kitchen.
  • Ability to lift and carry items as necessary in the kitchen.
