A well-established boutique recruiting firm in the scrap metal trading industry is seeking a skilled Scrap Metal Trader to join their dynamic team. Based out of a major metropolitan area, this company is known for its hands-on management and entrepreneurial spirit.

• Source and purchase valuable non-ferrous scrap metals from industrial sources, including factories, demolition sites, and recycling centers.
• Conduct market research to track global metal prices, demand, and supply trends to inform trading decisions.
• Negotiate with suppliers and buyers to secure favorable prices and terms, maximizing profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including suppliers, buyers, and recycling facilities across the globe.
• Oversee the logistics and transportation of scrap metals to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to recycling and scrap metal disposal.

• Must be able to work in an office environment 5 days a week.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the metal scrap trading industry, with a focus on non-ferrous metals.
• Experience buying and selling metals from international vendors.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• High School diploma required.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and trends.
• Proficiency in using business software for communication and coordination.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the scrap metal industry preferred.
