Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wiring Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for executing various tasks related to the installation and testing of low-voltage wiring, control panels, and switches, ensuring all systems operate safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret shop drawings to identify installation locations and adhere to National Electrical Code requirements.
  • Install wire ways, conduits, and cable trays, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and NEC standards.
  • Accurately install electrical gear, including SWGR, VFDs, ATS, DCS systems, transformers, and PLC cabinets according to engineered designs.
  • Utilize both EMT and RMC to bend conduits as required.
  • Conduct electrical wiring tasks, including anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, flagging, wire tagging, crimping, and stripping.
  • Assemble and install electrical components such as sub-panels in accordance with engineered specifications.
  • Connect electrical wiring between components based on wiring prints and schematics using appropriate hand tools.
  • Crimp lugs to wire ends using a hand crimping device as necessary.
  • Install electrical wiring and components such as switches and lights according to design specifications.
  • Organize and secure wiring to panels using wiring bundles and protective measures.
  • Measure and cut wire accurately, allowing for future connections.
  • Align and adjust wires and electrical components to facilitate assembly.
  • Label wires and devices according to schematics.
  • Ensure components and conduits are level and plumb using measuring tools.
  • Perform drilling and tapping of bolt holes as required.
  • Notify supervisors when products are ready for inspection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and return tools to designated locations.
  • Complete on-site work as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience with hydraulic conduit knockout, conduit threading, and the use of manual and power conduit benders.
  • Two years of experience in wiring electrical panels.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance Procedures (QAPs) is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wire schedules.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and observational skills.
  • Reliability and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have US work authorization without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs or more.
  • Ability to stoop and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged durations.
  • Proficiency in reading tape measures and electrical prints.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and color vision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
