We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Maintenance Technician to join our team at Swensons Drive-in Restaurants, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurants by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of our restaurants, including plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, and restaurant equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on all restaurant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency.
  • Inspect, operate, or test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal leadership to manage maintenance tickets and projects, ensuring timely completion and effective communication.
  • Perform building, sidewalk, and parking lot repairs as needed, adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Work effectively within a team and independently, prioritizing tasks to meet maintenance budgets and objectives.
  • Monitor inventory and place orders for necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate progress and concerns with all relevant parties, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and policies at all times.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the restaurant or similar industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC equipment, forced air systems, refrigeration repair, and overall restaurant kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to use mobile software to manage and track work orders.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel for work purposes.
  • Good communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to develop positive working relationships.
  • Positive, energetic, can-do attitude, with the ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
  • Legal right to work in the United States and provide proof.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures based on variable weather conditions inside and outside the restaurant.
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility and reasonable range of motion for up to ten hours.
  • Able to safely respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout a shift.
  • Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
  • Ability to safely work in an environment that includes wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise.
