Patterson-UTI Drilling is seeking a skilled Motorhand to join our team in North Dakota. As a Motorhand, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of drilling equipment, including generators, equipment, and systems that power the rig and drilling activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for off-loading materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting in rig up and rig down procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of drilling equipment
- Perform minor repair work on equipment
- Off-load materials and maintain equipment
- Assist in rig up and rig down procedures
- Work closely with and oversee Floorhands on the rig floor
Requirements:
- 3 months of experience as a Floorhand or equivalent experience as a Motorhand
- Forklift certification or willingness to complete certification training within 60 days
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
The Motorhand will work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at heights (50 ft. or greater) for extended periods of time and will be able to lift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces.
