Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nutritionist to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Nutritionist, you will play a critical role in promoting health and preventing disease in our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans for clients
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to individuals and groups
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine nutritional needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Develop and implement policies for food service and nutritional programs
  • Plan and evaluate strategies for promoting and supporting breastfeeding
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field
  • Verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nutrition care, with a focus on education and counseling
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English language skills preferred
