We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Telemetry Specialist. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Effectively communicate with patients and families to educate them on their care and treatment plans.
- Participate in unit-based educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and technologies.
- Accurately and timely document patient information in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- At least six months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent
- Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within six months of hire
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- One or more years of previous Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience
- Certification as a Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN)
- Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
