POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the camp facilities. This position is responsible for upholding high standards of hygiene and orderliness throughout all designated areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and procure additional items as necessary.
  2. Inspect facilities to ensure that the housekeeping team adheres to the cleanliness standards set for the camp.
  3. Coordinate with linen services to guarantee that linens are prepared for each group of guests.
  4. Prepare guest accommodations for incoming staff or visitors, which includes:
    1. Washing linens.
    2. Making beds.
    3. Providing towels.
    4. Cleaning restrooms.
    5. Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming common areas such as kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms.
    6. Cleaning the front entrance.
    7. Emptying trash receptacles inside and outside.
  5. Engage with guests each morning post-breakfast to inquire about their needs, such as trash removal, bathroom cleaning, or additional linens.
  6. Dispose of trash outside guest accommodations and communal areas daily.
  7. After guests check out, ensure that the facilities are cleaned and ready for subsequent use.
  8. Keep the laundry area organized and tidy.
  9. Report any misuse of laundry facilities to the Camp Director.
  10. Transport garbage to designated disposal areas.
  11. Maintain cleanliness in the mop area, trash collection points, and laundry facilities.
  12. Assist in the overall cleanup of the camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer season.
  13. Support the Camp Director with additional tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

To excel in this role, candidates must be capable of performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  1. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
  2. Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects and tools effectively.
  3. Capability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
