We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Caseworker to join our team at El Paso County, CO. As a key member of our Child Welfare Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of child abuse and neglect cases, developing and implementing effective treatment plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Provide intensive casework services to families, including home studies, counseling, and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve stability.
- Collaborate with community resources, law enforcement, and other agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response to child welfare cases.
- Develop and maintain relationships with families, providing ongoing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
- Participate in court hearings and mediations as needed, providing expert testimony and advocating for the best interests of children.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- One year of professional experience in a human services-related agency, preferably in child welfare or a related field.
- Colorado State Child Welfare Caseworker Certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
- Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
- A competitive salary range of $54,000 - $61,638 annually.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and retirement plan.
