Position Summary

The role of the IT Support Technician is crucial in delivering vital technical support and assistance for various computer systems, hardware, and software. This position entails addressing user inquiries, executing diagnostic tests, identifying issues, and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer technical support for incoming inquiries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to user inquiries in person or via phone.
  • Create and maintain training documentation and conduct training sessions for users.
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Address email inquiries from users seeking assistance.
  • Guide users through the troubleshooting process.

Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Solid technical expertise and understanding.
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Education and Experience

Physical Requirements

This position involves a combination of frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day, with occasional bending and squatting required to service equipment. Lifting up to 50 lbs may be necessary. Continuous vision is required for detailed tasks, along with frequent hand/wrist/finger movements for computer work.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically working Monday through Friday, with a standard schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, flexibility is required to accommodate evening and weekend work as needed. The position generally involves 40 hours of work per week.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
