ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join their team in a school district in Connecticut. As a School Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing academic, social, and emotional support to students, helping them develop coping strategies, improve self-esteem, and enhance interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Individual and Group Counseling: Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to students to address their academic, social, and emotional concerns.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, challenges, and needs, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Classroom Presentations: Deliver engaging and informative presentations to students on topics such as conflict resolution, bullying prevention, study skills, and career exploration.
- Liaison and Advocacy: Serve as a liaison between students, families, school staff, and community resources, advocating for students' well-being and connecting them with appropriate support services and resources as needed.
- Competitive Compensation: Highly competitive salary range of $35-$40 per hour.
