Key Responsibilities- Conduct field explorations, collect and analyze soil samples, and prepare detailed reports.
- Apply drilling techniques, including hollow stem auger, down-hole bucket auger, and rotary coring, to collect data and samples.
- Organize and analyze laboratory data, conduct soil index property testing, and report findings.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Assist with business development and marketing activities, including proposal preparation.
- Adhere to Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, and Loss Prevention policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Master's Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology, supported by a Bachelor's degree in Geology or Engineering Geology.
- 0-6 years of experience as a Geologist, including soil sampling and testing experience.
- Proficiency in geologic interpretation using soil and rock samples, soil classifications, and geologic mapping.
- Experience with geotechnical engineering practice, rock mechanics, and observation of earthwork construction.
