The Anatomic Pathology group within the Profiling & Expression department at Society of Exploration Geophysicists is seeking a motivated, experienced scientist with expertise in digital image analysis on digital pathology images to support discovery and translational research.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Translational Research Scientist to work at our company in South San Francisco, CA. This position will involve performing image preprocessing tasks according to established SOPs, including metadata extraction, output quality control, and secure data transfer to cloud storage.

Responsibilities

  2. Perform image preprocessing tasks according to established SOPs, including metadata extraction, output quality control, and secure data transfer to cloud storage.">
  3. Assist in evaluating and implementing new algorithms to enhance the image analysis pipeline, such as cell segmentation improvements, tissue classification, and cell phenotyping.">
  4. Assist with the transfer of data and image-related information for analysis, facilitating smooth collaboration between teams.">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. ">
  2. B.S with minimum 5+ years'; Masters with 3+ years'; PHD with 1-2 years' of relevant work experience in industry or academia">
  3. Experience using digital image analysis software and spatial imaging platforms such as HALO, Visiopharm, QuPath, digital slide scanning, multiplex spectral imaging, Akoya Polaris, Phenocycler/Fusion">
  4. Strong organizational abilities and communication skills">

Salary

">

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience
