About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Noblis. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a critical role in the successful deployment of the FAA's NextGen Data Comm program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply enterprise system engineering principles to analyze and resolve cross-cutting issues related to the FAA Data Communications Program.
  • Interface with the FAA customer, support organizations, vendors, and industry stakeholders to develop comprehensive solutions for technical and operational issues.
  • Integrate data into solutions that support successful pilot and controller operational acceptance of the system.
  • Project management and technical requirements development for emerging customer communications projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 25 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated systems engineering and leadership skills on large-scale aviation projects with an emphasis on communications engineering.
  • In-depth understanding of air/ground VHF communications, ACARS, and FANS 1/A.
  • Familiarity with VHF communication service providers (ARINC and/or SITA).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative to perform as part of a project team.
  • Knowledge of FAA domain and NextGen and ATC communications technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current working knowledge of and hands-on experience with the FAA Data Communications Program.
  • Working knowledge of the air transport industry environment specifically related to Data Communications implementation and operation.
