Job Summary

The Process Development Technology & Innovation Engineer provides technical support to develop innovative process technologies at the manufacturing sites to support safety, quality, production, and cost targets. They are responsible for understanding the process technology and managing multiple projects to drive INEOS performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and support multiple projects to improve performance at the Ashtabula Complex by conducting lab, pilot, and plant scale trials.
  • Process Development: Develop, evaluate, calculate and design plant equipment and process changes to achieve safety, environmental, production, reliability, quality and cost goals.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to the manufacturing sites to ensure the safe and efficient operation of process technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work with various functional teams, including Safety, Maintenance, Reliability, Project Engineering, Process Controls Process Safety and T&I.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Engineering; chemical engineering preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven to ten years of demonstrated engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with preference in process development activities.
  • Skills: Analytical skills and be adept at utilizing solid decision-making tools coupled with a high level of data analysis skills.
  • Software: Proficient in MS Office, SAP, Excel, Minitab.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule and lift 50 lbs. primarily during trial and lab work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership: Ability to lead larger process design scope development, evaluation, and design of new/existing chemical processes.
  • Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of statistical design and evaluation methods.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to use analytical processes (appraise a situation, develop supporting plans, make decisions, generate innovative ideas, analyze and troubleshoot operational problems).
