About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment. This includes inspecting and maintaining all vehicle systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:
- Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances
- Perform FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment, in accordance with all federal, state, and local legal and regulatory agencies
- Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment
- Perform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment
- Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Address all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups timely and efficiently
- Follow procedures, including documenting all work performed on work orders
- Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs

Requirements:
- Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-year school and 1 year of experience, or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
- Current and valid driver's license
- Annual Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Brake Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required)
- 609 HVAC Certification
- Professional Skills: Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers, ability to provide own tools necessary to perform all maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
