Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough interviews with patients to determine medical problems and conditions, and document findings in patient charts.
- Vital Signs and Weight Management: Obtain and record patients' vital signs and weight, and assist with patient examination as needed.
- Medication Administration and Management: Administer specified medication to patients, and note time and amount on patients' charts.
- Lab Testing and Sample Collection: Collect samples from patients for testing, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
- Equipment Maintenance and Sterilization: Assemble and use clinic equipment, and sterilize equipment and supplies.
- Communication and Coordination: Respond to patient or client telephone inquiries, and follow up with patients who miss appointments or require additional testing or referrals.
- Education and Licensure: Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse.
- Experience and Certification: At least three years of clinical experience as a LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting, and current hands-on certification in Basic Life Support.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge about workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations, strong computer skills, and knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
