Summary: Soliant is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to provide exceptional speech and language therapy services. The successful candidate will work closely with students, educators, and families to foster effective communication skills and support academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and screenings to identify speech and language impairments in students.
- Design and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student.
- Deliver direct therapeutic interventions for students experiencing speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and specialists to facilitate student growth and development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student evaluations, progress reports, and therapy sessions.
- Engage in IEP meetings, parent-teacher discussions, and ongoing professional development.
- Provide guidance and training to school personnel and families regarding speech and language development and intervention techniques.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Current Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Pennsylvania Department of Education certification as an Educational Specialist in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Preferred experience in an educational environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Licensure and Certifications Required:
- Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification as an Educational Specialist in Speech and Language Pathology
- Successful completion of relevant Praxis exams (if mandated by the state)
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for prolonged periods.
- Able to manage the physical demands associated with working with young children and students with special needs.
