Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop intricate electromechanical systems for next-generation robotic platforms.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques, including mathematical modeling and simulations, to optimize mechanical systems.
- Apply mechanical engineering principles to create and analyze capital equipment and mechanisms.
- Oversee the design and development of mechanical subsystems, including concept generation, CAD design, and documentation.
- Conduct kinematic analyses, finite element analysis, and 3D tolerance analysis using tools such as Simulink, Simscape, or MATLAB.
- Engage in hands-on engineering tests and characterizations, analyzing results with statistical methods.
- Implement best practices in design methodologies and development processes.
- Research and adopt new tools and techniques, providing training to team members.
- Document processes, design descriptions, test protocols, and reports comprehensively.
This role is ideal for candidates who possess a strong foundation in analytical and problem-solving methodologies, particularly in the context of complex mechanical systems.
Qualifications:- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field, preferably with a focus on medical devices.
- Proven track record of impactful research and a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in product development.
- Experience in medical robotics is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in programming and simulation tools, including MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks, and FEA analysis software.
- Familiarity with motion control and applied control theories is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
