This role involves the critical task of ensuring that products meet quality standards before they are dispatched to customers. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for evaluating materials and finished goods, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess and eliminate defects from products prior to shipment.
2. Approve or reject materials based on established criteria regarding form, fit, function, and finish.
3. Inspect rolls of material for any inconsistencies or defects.
4. Measure and cut materials according to customer specifications.
5. Interpret work documents and instructions as necessary.
6. Manage the movement and adjustment of rolls as required.
7. Set up and configure machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures.
8. Input data accurately into the computer system.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with relevant experience or training.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Strong visual acuity for defect detection.
- Capability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Proficient in the safe operation of hoists and pallet jacks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
