Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for operating production and auxiliary machinery as assigned by the rotation schedule or supervisor. This role is critical to maintaining safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnoses issues and troubleshoots machinery to ensure the production of high-quality components in a safe manner.
  • Executes order changes and inputs startup information into the DelmiaWorks system.
  • Records all downtime reasons in the ERP system for accurate tracking.
  • Confirms that raw materials comply with production specifications.
  • Conducts hourly sampling and visual inspections of production, documenting quality metrics and placing products on hold when necessary.
  • Communicates with supervisors or leads regarding any quality concerns in production.
  • Monitors material availability and requests additional supplies as needed.
  • Ensures all machine sensors and safety guards are functioning correctly.
  • Reports machine malfunctions to supervisors and submits maintenance requests.
  • Maintains cleanliness of machines and workspaces, including the removal of materials and scheduled sanitation tasks.
  • Sorts, inspects, and categorizes scrap materials appropriately.
  • Provides coverage for Production Operators during breaks and willingly fills in for absences on other shifts.
  • Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
  • Follows all safety protocols and procedures diligently.
  • Completes all required documentation for assigned machinery, adhering to the manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Inspects rejected finished goods, work-in-progress, and raw materials visually.
  • Loads necessary materials such as cartons, tape rollers, and labels for production, assisting Mold Technicians as directed.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in continuous improvement meetings.
  • Follows all policies and procedures related to Food Safety.
  • Complies with all safety regulations, policies, and work instructions.
  • Completes required processing training for the position.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills, along with fundamental math abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Scissor Lift training is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Mechanical aptitude is a requirement for this position.
