Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12 Hours (Evening/Nights)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years.
Must have experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center.
License: Must possess a nursing license that is valid in the state of practice or a compact license.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS through the American Heart Association; TNCC is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Flexible to work 8 and 12-hour shifts in the emergency department.
- Responsible for treating over 60,000 patients per year on an urgent and emergent basis.
- Coordinate care with ambulances and air transport for severely ill and injured.
- Performs diagnostic interventions and offers consultations for various medical emergencies including trauma care, stroke care, and more.
- Active participation in the ECPR (ECMO) program.
- May float to different units based on staffing needs and maintain quality care standards.
- Completion of the telemetry test for both adult and pediatric populations prior to starting.
- Must be willing to adapt to different schedules and unit reassignments if necessary.
- Commitment to the safety and positive outcomes of patients and caregivers.
- Excellent teamwork and resource utilization to ensure high-quality emergency care.
