Job Summary:

The Chronic Hemodialysis Nurse Specialist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. This includes assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing personalized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and responding to emergencies
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' medical history, social situation, and cultural background
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, share knowledge, and address any concerns or issues
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards
  • Promote education and awareness about chronic kidney disease, dialysis treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to support patients' overall well-being
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, research findings, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RPN/RN)
  • Minimum 9 months of experience in nephrology nursing, preferably in a dialysis setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
