Key Responsibilities

  • The Lead CT Technologist is expected to demonstrate proficiency in performing CT scans independently, utilizing sound judgment and expertise.
  • This role requires the ability to oversee operations in the absence of direct supervision, ensuring that all procedures are conducted efficiently and competently.
  • Collaboration with fellow technologists is essential, as this position may involve training both new graduates and students in the department.
  • The technologist will cater to a diverse patient demographic, including infants, children, adults, and seniors, necessitating adaptability and a compassionate approach.
  • Management of daily workflow and staffing levels is a critical aspect of this role, with responsibilities extending to scheduling adjustments as needed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, particularly during periods of low patient volume, to support the overall functionality of the department.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered as a CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within the first year of employment.
  • Valid licensure from the appropriate regulatory body is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is essential for this position.
