Nemours Children's Hospital is in search of a dedicated Pediatric RN II - Ambulatory (Orthopedics), Full-Time, to enhance our healthcare team.
As a part of our commitment to providing exceptional pediatric care, the RN II will deliver and coordinate nursing services tailored to the unique needs of children and their families. This role emphasizes the importance of cultural, ethnic, and religious considerations in the planning and delivery of evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the operational activities of a designated program or specialty, addressing specific challenges in line with departmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with division leaders to establish and implement program goals and objectives.
- Continuously assess program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to meet established objectives.
- Facilitate staff meetings to ensure adherence to best practices and keep team members informed of current standards.
- Design and implement comprehensive training and orientation programs for staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities for evaluation purposes.
- Provide care to patients within a specific demographic.
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver and assess nursing care, incorporating knowledge of child development and family dynamics.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all nursing care provided.
- Offer leadership and educational support to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with patient triage, medication refills, and clinical care as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in a BSN program with expected completion within 12 months.
- BCLS Certification is mandatory.
- Active Florida RN License in good standing is required.
- A minimum of one to three years of nursing experience is essential, with pediatric experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel to designated locations as required.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
