Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, delegating tasks and projects, and conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis: Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, participating in long-term financial planning and strategy sessions with senior management.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial analysis, implementing and maintaining accounting software systems to streamline operations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability, overseeing the preparation of cash flow forecasts and reporting variances to management.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring appropriate insurance coverage is maintained and evaluating risk management strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Certifications: MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting, coupled with solid knowledge of GAAP is required. CPA Certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience is required, with a focus on luxury consumer goods being a plus.
  • Leadership: Over 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire a team is required.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage, and advanced Excel skills required.
  • Industry Insight: Previous experience in cosmetics and luxury consumer goods is essential.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and manage multiple software platforms; experience with TriNet is a plus.
  • Integrity: Uphold the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness in all financial transactions.
