Job Summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a skilled Head Cashier to oversee the supervision of a team of cashiers, providing training, hiring, monitoring, and assistance with operational issues. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train a team of cashiers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations
  • Monitor and maintain cash register supply levels, and ensure cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots
  • Assign store sweeps, schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks, and participate in disciplinary actions as needed
  • Proactively visit registers, provide direction and support to Cashiers and Baggers, and ensure excellent customer service
  • Assist in the selection of and training of new cashiers, and take necessary steps for disciplinary actions

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and ability to interact with customers, representing as a role model in behaviors
  • Ability to operate front-end equipment, register, calculator, scanner, and lift/carry product horizontally/vertically weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and ability to read, write, and count
