Carondelet St. Marys Hospital is seeking a skilled RN Clinical Coordinator to join our team. This role will coordinate nursing activities and resources within our clinical specialty or department.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate staff scheduling and educational/development activities.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
- Perform quality assurance studies and assist with implementation of quality assurance and/or improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
- Monitor departmental compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Direct the work flow and guide the clinical process of therapist, assistants, technicians and clerical staff.
- Assist in Human Resource management through involvement in the processes of interviewing, orienting, counseling issues and performance evaluations.
- Serve as a leader in program development.
- Facilitate program improvement through the performance assessment and improvement process.
- Update policy and procedures and assist manager in development of new policies.
- Monitor and facilitate financial transactions of assigned program to ensure cost effective delivery of quality care and services.
- Provide input into the annual budgetary process.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
- License Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
- Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association and others as required by individual department. National certification in clinical specialty as defined in the addendums.
- EDUCATION
- Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: BSN, Bachelor (BS,BA) in related field.
- WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: Three (3) years related experience.
- Preferred: One (1) year supervisory/leadership.
