Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACUJob Summary:

SCA Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Preoperative and Postoperative department. As a RN PreOp PACU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • 1 year of experience in a Preoperative or PACU setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
