The Role

This position is situated within our Structural Heart division, focusing on enhancing health and quality of life through innovative device solutions for structural heart disease.

As a pivotal member of the SH Commercial Finance team, you will collaborate with leadership to foster financial accountability, optimize costs, and enhance processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting detailed financial forecasts that integrate historical and current business data.
  • Tracking departmental expenditures against budgets and identifying significant variances.
  • Assisting in month-end closing activities and preparing journal entries to ensure accurate accounting.
  • Compiling and disseminating financial reports by analyzing performance data.
  • Conducting financial analyses and recommending strategic alternatives using various financial tools.
  • Assessing new business ventures and potential acquisitions through financial modeling.
  • Performing sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of key variables on financial outcomes.
  • Establishing sound financial processes and fostering a supportive network for project completion.
  • Mentoring less experienced team members and leading project initiatives.
  • Organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively to meet project objectives.
  • Exercising judgment in selecting innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision while ensuring alignment with objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Capacity to present financial results effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a cost accounting or financial planning role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP and Hyperion Planning/Essbase systems.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Proactive approach to adapting to changing business needs.
  • Strong initiative and results-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated with a keen understanding of business requirements.
