Epic Trainer

Job Summary:

Carle Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Epic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle Department, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively use our Epic system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess educational needs and develop training programs to meet those needs.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs for staff.
• Communicate with Revenue Cycle and Patient Care staff to encourage participation in educational opportunities.
• Provide system/software program training, resources, and support for staff.
• Draft reference materials and assist with documentation for training courses.
• Conduct standard and ad-hoc educational in-services at the department level.
• Shared responsibility for ongoing support of revenue software training applications.
• Assess and assist with system updates regarding the modules related to the Revenue Cycle.
• Mentor new staff and assess and report their progress to the appropriate Manager or Supervisor.
• Provide support for 24x7 environments.
• Schedule training classes, including rooms and equipment.
• Responsible for education of inter-department/inter-organizational staff when appropriate.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge or resource regarding the functionality of all modules in the billing systems.
• Assist with the development and testing of 3rd party systems housed outside of the revenue cycle with regards to billing charge files and master files.

Requirements:

• Associated Degree in a related field of science, learning, or computer applications.
• Credentialed in Epic module or applications within 3 months of hire.
• A minimum of 2 years experience with program development and instructional design.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
