Job Summary

Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Director(s), the Exercise Specialist is responsible for supervising stress testing performed in the Cardiology Department, and supervising Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab as needed to comply with our staffing plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise stress testing procedures that require RN supervision
  • Process Holter monitors
  • Assess and supervise patients exercising in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
  • Complete necessary office workflow and documentation
  • Communicate critical results to appropriate physicians
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • ACSM-CEP (American College of Sports Medicine Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist)
  • BLS (AHA) & ACLS (AHA)
  • Stress Lab Test Experience
  • Previous experience and knowledge of isokinetic testing, evaluation, and functional capacity evaluations
Certification Requirements
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
Weekend and On-Call Requirements
  • No Weekends
  • No Call
