Ophthalmic Technician

Nemours is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in Wilmington, DE. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in delivering high-quality eye care services.

• Perform preliminary examinations on patients, including medical and ocular history, visual acuity, and other necessary tests.
• Assist ophthalmologists with procedures, such as slit lamp exams, tonometry, and OCTs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest ophthalmic techniques and technologies.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in ophthalmic or optometric settings preferred.
• JCAHPO certification at COA, COT, or COMT level preferred.
