Engineering Specialties in North Branford, CT is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities- We are looking for a skilled professional who can program and set up 5+ axis VMCs using Fanuc controls, ensuring accuracy and quality in machined parts.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, utilizing GD&T principles to develop and optimize CNC programs for efficient machining operations.
- This role involves conducting equipment troubleshooting and maintenance to minimize downtime, as well as collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes.
- A key aspect of this position is training and mentoring junior machinists on best practices and techniques, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in all machining operations.
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist with a focus on 5+ axis VMCs is essential.
- The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of GD&T and its application in machining, as well as proficiency in G-Code programming and CNC tooling.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming and design is also required, along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential for this role.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
