BAART Programs is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our treatment team as a Full Time Dispensing Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications, maintaining dispensing equipment, and reporting patient treatment information.
Key Responsibilities- Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
- Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment to ensure accurate and efficient medication distribution.
- Produce and maintain accurate records and reports as required by company protocol, federal and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and state regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
- Provide daily assessments of patients and assist the Nursing Supervisor in orienting new nursing staff.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
- Current and good standing LPN/LVN license in the State of Louisiana.
- Current CPR certification required.
- EMR and computer proficiency desired.
- Experience in chemical dependency preferred, self-motivated and directed, with a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
