Key Responsibilities

Formulates and manages commodity strategies aligned with Patheon's performance objectives, including Right First Time (RFT), On Time In Full (OTIF), Purchase Price Variance (PPV) savings targets, and Quality Assurance.

Primary Duties:
  • Establishes and nurtures positive vendor relationships through transparent communication.
  • Facilitates on-site supplier evaluations and regulatory inspections.
  • Collaborates with Business Unit (BU) leaders and raw materials category teams on global and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Leads site-specific and BU-level sourcing projects and implementations.
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities within assigned categories by managing sourcing processes (Request for Information/Proposal/Quote/Bid) in conjunction with the site procurement manager.
  • Maintains material master data, vendor master data, and ensures supply chain accuracy.
  • Oversees pricing, addresses quality supplier issues, and manages documentation requests.
  • Supports and leads Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) initiatives.
  • Reconciles supplier invoices, incoterms, and payment conditions.
  • Participates in product launch teams, Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) projects, technical transfer projects, and commercial product initiatives.
  • Contributes to operational excellence and integration projects.
  • Manages supplier change notifications and associated implementation tasks.
  • Assists in production planning and scheduling activities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Business preferred.
  • At least 5 years of procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, etc.).
