Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $83,000 to $109,000 annually. Job Description

This role is responsible for managing all restaurant operations and staff on a daily basis. As a department head, you will direct and work with the food and beverage/culinary management team and employees to successfully execute all restaurant operations. You will strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize financial performance in areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption to anticipate amounts to be purchased or requisitioned.
  • Facilitate pre-meal briefings with the Chef and Restaurant Managers to educate restaurant staff on menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and unique tastes.
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas.
  • Order and purchase equipment and supplies.
  • Oversee the booking and manage service of restaurant parties, special events, and room service hospitality suites.
Developing and Maintaining Budgets

You will manage department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals and understand the impact of department's operation on the overall property financial goals.

Leading Food and Beverage Team

You will establish challenging, realistic, and obtainable goals to guide operation and performance. You will utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrate honesty/integrity; lead by example.

You will encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. You will achieve and exceed goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc. You will serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

You will provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention. You will improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.

You will empower employees to provide excellent customer service and incorporate guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.

Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities

You will provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. You will ensure that expectations and objectives are clearly communicated to subordinates; subordinates are also open to raise questions and/or concerns.

You will administer the performance appraisal process for direct report managers. You will communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position and monitor progress.
