Opportunity in Automotive Industry

Tumaini is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist to join our team based in the Eastern Cape. As a key player in driving excellence in manufacturing processes, you will play a vital role in optimizing continuous improvement opportunities and increasing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvements: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal waste.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, optimize manufacturing processes, and provide training to junior engineers on process improvement techniques.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and address quality defects, implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase productivity.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports of process improvements and metrics, providing valuable insights for future decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements resulting in significant cost savings or efficiency gains.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation: R750,000 - R900,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
