Ultrasound Sonographer PRN

As an Ultrasound Sonographer PRN, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies, including abdominal, small parts, and gynecological procedures under the supervision of a radiologist. You will clearly communicate and explain the exam procedure to patients and their families, ensuring their understanding and consent. You will also assess patients' medical, cardiac, or vascular status by taking a history before the exam. Your responsibilities will include assembling charts with patient information, entering data into the PACS system or electronic medical record, and recording all imaging studies for review and interpretation. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies, including abdominal, small parts, and gynecological procedures under the supervision of a radiologist.
Clearly communicate and explain the exam procedure to patients and their families, ensuring their understanding and consent.
Assess patients' medical, cardiac, or vascular status by taking a history before the exam.
Assemble charts with patient information and enter data into the PACS system or electronic medical record.
Record all imaging studies for review and interpretation.
Requirements:
Graduate of an approved AS program in Medical Sonography or scheduled to graduate from an approved BS program with RDMS certification.
1 year of experience preferred but new grads welcome.
Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
