About the Role:

As a pivotal member of the finance team, the Tax & Treasury Business Partner will report directly to the Finance Director for the ANZ region. This role encompasses comprehensive oversight of all tax compliance and strategic planning initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure the timely completion of all direct and indirect tax returns while maintaining adherence to the relevant tax authorities and deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all tax-related matters for the consolidated tax group, including tax filings for the primary entity and its subsidiaries.
  • Guarantee that annual tax returns, along with supporting documentation and reconciliations, are completed and submitted punctually.
  • Provide expert solutions and conduct research on any tax-related issues, including presenting findings to corporate tax teams and collaborating with external advisors.
  • Serve as the primary contact for tax audits and reviews conducted by tax authorities.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with external consultants, including tax lawyers and advisors.
  • Coordinate tax planning discussions with the corporate tax team and oversee the implementation of strategies.
  • Prepare monthly tax accounting entries for all entities and collaborate with both offshore and local finance teams for monthly reconciliations.
  • Oversee the daily treasury operations and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Meet local, regional, and corporate reporting obligations.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience as a Tax Partner, with a strong background in Australian Corporate Income Tax, including tax accounting and compliance. You will be recognized as a trusted advisor to local and regional teams, leveraging your expertise to provide valuable insights.

Key Skills:
  • In-depth experience with Australian Corporate Income Tax.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate tax regulations in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Familiarity with Australian and US GAAP Tax accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide sound advice and support to key stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with financial and treasury systems, such as SAP, is preferred.
