The Production Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in the setup, operation, adjustment, cleaning, and monitoring of assigned machinery, including various types of packaging equipment. Success in this role demands technical proficiency to manage and troubleshoot machinery, meticulous attention to detail for quality assurance, and a steadfast commitment to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjust machine components, tension, and pressure based on product specifications.
  • Perform production, inspection, packaging, and operational tasks.
  • Prepare machinery and ensure availability of all necessary materials.
  • Continuously monitor production equipment for optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure all safety features on machinery are operational to mitigate risks.
  • Address machine malfunctions, clear jams, and communicate issues to supervisors.
  • Comply with company personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Report any observed safety hazards promptly.
  • Adhere to all physical and food safety standards.
  • Be adaptable to various tasks and machinery as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in operating manufacturing machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Dedication to quality, safety, and effective communication.
  • Understanding of machinery functions and best operational practices.
  • Willingness to wear necessary safety gear when operating machinery.
  • Professional demeanor at all times.
