We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Core Logging Geologist to contribute to the exploration and development of mineral resources. As a Core Logging Geologist, you will play a crucial role in the collection and analysis of geological data, working closely with drilling teams and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drill Core Logging and Sampling:
  • Conduct thorough and accurate logging of drill core samples, ensuring high-quality data collection.
  • Implement best practices for core sampling, collaborating with drilling teams to optimize core recovery and maintain data integrity.
• Digital Data Entry:
  • Perform timely and precise digital entry of geological information using relevant software, maintaining a high level of accuracy to support reliable geological interpretations.
  • Organize and manage databases to facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Collation and Interpretation of Data:
  • Analyze geological data to identify patterns, trends, and potential mineralization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate geological findings into broader project objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of geological models and interpretations, utilizing mapping data to enhance the understanding of the project area.
• Liaising with Drill Contractors and Other Geologists:
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with drill contractors to ensure project objectives are met, providing clear and concise updates to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with fellow geologists to share insights, coordinate activities, and enhance overall project understanding.
• Geologic Mapping:
  • Conduct geologic mapping to enhance the understanding of the project area, utilizing mapping data to contribute to geological models and exploration strategies.
  • Document and communicate mapping findings to support broader geological interpretations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in drill core logging and sampling.
• Proficiency in digital data entry and geological software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently in the field.
• Familiarity with geologic mapping techniques and tools.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without work visa sponsorship.
