Key Responsibilities- Utilize advanced software and tools to design and draft truss systems, ensuring precision and efficiency in construction projects.
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop truss designs that comply with industry standards and local building codes, guaranteeing safety and quality.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and constraints, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Perform load calculations to ensure truss systems can withstand anticipated stresses, ensuring the structural integrity of buildings.
- Generate detailed truss layout drawings, including specifications and materials lists, to facilitate effective project execution.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from project stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are satisfied with the final product.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all truss designs, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to truss design, ensuring that our client's solutions remain innovative and effective.
- Bachelor's in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience as a Truss Designer in the construction industry is essential, with a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Proficiency in truss design software is necessary, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
