Job Overview

Position: Office Clerk

Work Schedule: 1st Shift, 8 am – 4:30 pm

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Fundamental understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Accounting Principles is advantageous.
  • A degree in Accounting, either Bachelor’s or Associate’s, is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in AR, AP, or general accounting is desirable.
  • Experience in collections is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, including financial functions and Pivot Tables.
  • Familiarity with Accounting ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with OnBase and OCR systems is an asset.
  • Ability to extract data through system queries.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the collections process and evaluate AR aging reports.
  • Organize and process invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • Address inquiries related to Payables and Receivables, collaborating with various business units as necessary.
  • Generate and review monthly AP and AR subledger reports, collaborating with Staff Accountants for reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounts by recording, identifying, and verifying financial transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures to maintain financial integrity.
  • Perform administrative tasks and other duties as required.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all financial activities are accurate and complete.
  • Lead or assist with various AP, AR, or accounting projects as directed by the AP/AR Manager.
