Job Overview

The role involves collaborating with a team to assemble products tailored for our clientele. As part of our LEAN Manufacturing approach, this position is situated within a dedicated work "cell" where various components are assembled, each presenting different levels of complexity throughout the day. The role operates under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to comprehend written work instructions and schematics for a diverse range of products to ensure the final assembly meets the highest quality standards with no waste or rework.
  • Assemble components and products of varying sizes and complexities, which includes cleaning, inspecting, and testing assembled parts and assemblies.
  • Adhere to the expected assembly timelines outlined in production orders.
  • Seek clarification when instructions are unclear or not understood.
  • Maintain focus on production orders and assembly tasks throughout the workday.
  • Perform any combination of the duties listed above and cross-train on various functions to provide flexibility and support across production operations.
  • When necessary, set up or calibrate equipment, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for identification purposes, such as test reports, while moving materials to and from work areas.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with established procedures, policies, and regulations.

In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

  • Meeting company standards regarding the quantity and quality of work performed consistently, executing all tasks in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives concerning workplace behavior while completing job duties and assignments.

Qualifications

Experience:

· Previous experience with soldering in a similar role is preferred.

Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

· Exceptional attention to detail.

· Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment while adhering to high-quality standards.

· Flexibility to shift between tasks to meet changing production priorities.

· Proficient in understanding written work instructions and schematics for a wide array of products to ensure proper assembly.

· Basic mathematical skills are essential.

· Proficient in reading blueprints and familiar with standard parts and tools used in Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) processes.
