Job Description

Stevens Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on industrial construction markets.

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for providing oversight for all phases of industrial construction projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, materials, and equipment. They will ensure that specifications are being followed, and work is performed within quality standards, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a client-focused approach and be able to work well independently and as part of the project team. Stevens offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with an excellent benefit package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and establish effective working relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Organize and execute project safety compliance programs.
  • Interface with clients and communicate project status and progress.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents and project requirements.
  • Plan and execute physical work, including scheduling and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and report on progress and profitability.
  • Write subcontracts and purchase orders, and review and approve related invoices and change requests.
  • Maintain open communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and local union officials.
  • Supervise project activities and participate in bidding, pre-construction services, and Continuous Improvement Programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ten years of professional experience in the construction industry, including five years of managerial experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Able to manage teams and multiple projects, with experience in compiling and following strict budgets.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations, with ability to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and construction/project management software.
