Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Regional CDL A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers across the eastern United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods from one location to another.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures.
  • Load and unload freight, and assist with loading and unloading as needed.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL with a valid endorsement for the type of cargo being hauled.
  • At least 9 months of experience as a tractor-trailer driver within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the past 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the past 10 years.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
