Opportunities Available:

We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants for the following shifts:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Night Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am

Full-time positions require a schedule of 4 days on and 2 days off. Casual/on-call positions are also available, with weekend shifts required.

Compensation: A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time roles, distributed every two months ($500 each) over a period of 6 months. Starting pay for new CNAs is $22.00/hr, with a pay scale ranging from $22.00 to $25.00 for those with 10 or more years of experience. Additionally, RNA certification adds an extra $0.75/hr to the pay rate.

Full-time employees working 30 hours or more are eligible for medical (Sutter and Kaiser options), dental, vision, and life insurance plans starting the first of the month following 30 days of employment. We also provide up to $4,500 per year to assist with out-of-pocket medical expenses, including pharmacy costs. Our Retirement Savings Plan includes an employer match of up to 5%, with Baywood Court contributing over one million dollars to employee retirement savings.

Work Environment:

We host fun work events, including BBQs, food trucks, employee recognition celebrations, theme days, and casual Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and toileting.
  • Support residents with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as directed by therapists.
  • Perform essential procedures including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with admissions and discharges.
  • Deliver care that respects resident autonomy, dignity, and rights while being non-judgmental and non-discriminatory.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and anticipate residents' needs through regular rounds.

Qualifications:

  • New CNAs are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to document in the ADLs Form.
  • Current CNA Certificate or proof of passing written and skills tests.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Must meet general health requirements, including a medical and physical examination and TB clearance.

Physical Requirements:
Physical demands include mobility within the unit, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, and reaching. Must be able to transport residents using wheelchairs or shower chairs unassisted and lift or transfer residents using mechanical lift equipment. Exposure to various odors and behaviors may occur.
