Job Overview

The Photographer Assistant is a key role within our team, responsible for supporting the photographer in the studio and on-location for all photo shoots and photo editing. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Orders product from the warehouse based on priority needs and ensures timely delivery to the studio.
  • Styles and preps products prior to shoots, ensuring they are ready for the photographer to capture.
  • Handles products while in studio's possession, ensuring the photography process runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Renames images to digital asset management standard conventions, maintaining consistency across all files.
  • Retouches and resizes images to web/print standards, ensuring high-quality visuals for our marketing materials.
  • Organizes images in proper folder structure for transfer to post-production, streamlining the workflow.
  • Tracks shoots, parts shot, and brand budgets, providing accurate and up-to-date information to the team.
  • Works directly with the Media Coordinator to prioritize vendor and studio product images, ensuring timely and effective content creation.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality, handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Performs other tasks and/or duties as assigned by the team lead or management.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Photography or 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team, communicating effectively and building strong relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and active listening skills, ensuring clear understanding and effective communication.
  • Exceptional organization skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, with ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • CMS (Content Management Systems) experience preferred, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Adobe Photoshop and Bridge experience required, with ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with ability to maintain high-quality standards across all tasks.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, with valid driver's license and good driving record.
